The Yala National Park will be closed from September 01 to October 31 due to maintenance activities and the dry weather, the Department of Wildlife Conservation said.
Meanwhile, all national parks will be closed from September 13 to 15 due to a wild elephant census which is to be carried out by the Department.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
