All National Parks, National Botanical Gardens and Zoological Gardens under the Department of National Zoological Gardens, Botanical Gardens, Wildlife Conservation and Forest Conservation will be closed for two weeks as part of efforts to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus.
The Government Information Department stated that the decision had been conveyed by Secretary to the Ministry of Environment and Wildlife Resources, Sarath Wijesinghe.
