Four killed in van-lorry collision on A-9 Road

Four people were killed and another seriously injured after a van crashed into a parked lorry at Kokavil along the Jaffna-Kandy A-9 Road in the early hours of this morning..  

According to police the van had been driving at high speed at the time of the incident. 

It is unclear if the driver fell asleep at the wheel or simply failed to see the lorry parked on the roadside. '

Kilinochchi Police are investigating.
