Sri Lanka cricketer and allrounder, Isuru Udana has announced his retirement from national duties with immediate effect.
"I believe the time has come for me to make way for the next generation of players," said Udana whilst notifying his decision to Sri Lanka Cricket.
"It is with immense pride and passion, and unfathomable commitment that I have represented and served my country," his statement added.
Sri Lanka Cricket acknowledged Udana's decision by stating; "SLC wishes Udana, who was a valuable player in Sri Lanka's white-ball teams, the very best in his future endeavors."
Udana, 33, made his international debut in 2009 and has appeared in 21 ODIs and 34 T20Is for Sri Lanka, raking in 237 runs and 18 wickets and 256 runs and 27 wickets respectively in both formats.
He is well known as a prominent allrounder who appeared in famous T20 Leagues across the world.
