Country’s top-order batter Kusal Mendis took to twitter blowing off his steam targeting global courier service – TNT Express – for failing to dispatch his cricket gear on time for the T20 World Cup, starting on Sunday.
“Disappointed with the service of TNT express. I’ve been struggling without my new cricket gear from India and they still can’t locate the whereabouts of my package but telling me that it will be delivered today for the last few days,” Mendis, having become a young father recently, posted on Twitter on Thursday. Following day on Friday, he announced the delayed arrival on the same platform, along with a picture of his gear all spread out.
“Finally received my new gear from @SF_Stanford. I must clarify that the delay was from TNT from India to Australia...not TNT Sri Lanka”.
Mendis and Sri Lanka will be opening their campaign against Namibia, in their qualifiers.
