Former Sri Lanka cricketers and ICC Match Referee, Roshan Mahanama has resigned from the Cricket Advisory Committee, which was appointed by the Minister of Sports Namal Rajapaksa.
Mahanama, who stepped down as ICC Match Referee after officiating 200 international games, was a member of the minister-appointed Cricket Advisory Committee headed by former cricket star Aravinda de Silva for nearly 12 months.
Other members of the committee are Kumar Sangakkara and Muttiah Muralidaran.
Mahanama has stated that he will not be able to commit fulltime due to personal reasons and other commitments.
Mahanama took up the role as a Match Referee at the forthcoming Pakistan Super League, which also includes fellow compatriot Ranjan Madugalle.
