The fifth phase of the National Football Pool 2021 Residential Training commenced today (6) at the National Training Centre in Beddagana under Bio Secure Bubble Environment in preparation of FIFA World Cup qualifiers and Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 2.
All 23 players and eight officials who are taking part or are involved in the training camp had to undergo PCR and Anti-gen tests.
"All anti-gen tests returned negative, we are still awaiting the official PCR results. We will update accordingly," Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) stated issuing a media release.
Most senior players included in the 23-member player pool are Mohamed Fazal and Y. Duckson Puslas, while others were selected after the Super League initial rounds.
