Sri Lanka have handed debut to three players--Prabath Jayasuriya, Maheesh Theekshana and Kamindu Mendis for the second Test against Australia after hosts were forced to take desperate measures following several Covid 19 positive cases in the side.
They also brought in Kasun Rajith in place of Asitha Fernando who was ruled out after contracting the virus along with Dhananjaya de Silva, Praveen Jayawicktrema and Jeffrey Vandersay. Lasith Embuldeniya was also dropped from the side after he failed to impress in the first game. Australians are unchanged as they look to wrap of the series 2-0.
Sri Lanka lost the first Test by 10-wickets inside three days when Australia spun a web around the Sri Lankan batters.
