A near-hundred run partnership by Charith Asalanka (46) and Dinesh Chandimal (63) set up a high-scoring thriller at the second of the double-header downing Galle Gladiators by two-wickets on Tuesday at Pallekele.
Galle Gladiators, setting the target was off to a good start laid by Kusal Mendis, hitting a 72, and an opening wicket partnership of 51.
Asad Shafiq, batting in the top-order, provided the finishing touches scoring 58, and both 50+ scores, driving to a commanding target of 193.
However, Colombo Kings decided to spoilsport it, when national capts Asalanka and Chandimal gaver them them start, which was completed by Ravi Bopara.
Though skipper Angelo Mathews failed to contribute, brit Bopara gave the cameo and saw his team through with an unfinished 31.
