The fifth edition of Sri Lanka’s franchise cricket competition with international flavour, the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will reach the knockouts after this week’s fixtures at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium (RPICS) in Colombo.
A total of six matches will be down for decisions before the fifth edition of LPL is set to reach the final stages.
The much-followed Dialog Schools Rugby League will resume this weekend after a break of one week, following an incident which took place on June 30 at the Air Force ground in Ratmalana in the match between hosts Science College and S. Thomas’ College.
Sri Lanka Under-19s, who are currently touring England, will play the second and final Youth Test from next Tuesday at Cheltenham. The match will continue until Friday.
The 64th National Junior Athletic Championship will commence on Saturday (13) at the Diyagama Stadium. The annual junior track and field meet will end on Tuesday (16).
The 49th Sri Lanka Schools Aquatic Sports Meet which commenced at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex on Wednesday (10) will continue until Sunday (14).
