The National Stage events of the All Island School Games 2018 start from June 29 in centres around the country.
Accordingly 29 sports discipline will be held under four stages.
There are nine stages in the First Stage and will be held in the Eastern and Western Province.
The sports are Beach Volleyball, Judo, Wrestling, Taekwondo, Weightlifting, Physical Training, Cycling, Boxing and Tennis (Under-17).
There will be no activities in August due to the Advanced Level Examinations.
The second and third stages will be from September 6 to 26.
There are 10 sports in this stage.
They are Road Race, Cricket, Hockey, Basketball, Badminton, Aerobics Gymnastics, Rugby, Karate, Kabbadi and Volleyball.
They will be from September 6 to 11.
They will take place in the North Western Province, Western Province, Central Province and Sabaragamuwa Province.
The third stage will commence on September 16 and will end on September 26.
There are ten sports in this stage.
They are Throwball, Netball, Chess, Football, Elle, Table Tennis, Carom, Swimming, Gymnastics and Tennis (Under-20).
The fourth stage involves only Athletics which will be held from October 1 to 5 at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
There will be 25000 school children involved in the All Island School Games.
