The Old Royalists’ Athletic Club (ORAC) will come out with their inaugural Quadrangular Athletics Championship with the participation of four leading schools on August 1. The Championship will feature athletes from four top boys schools – Royal, S. Thomas’, St. Peter’s and Maris Stella. In addition three girls’ schools – Ladies College, Visakha Vidyalaya and Holy Family Convent – too will be featured at the competition. The ORAC, with a view of developing athletics at a broader level in order to generate competitive participants at the global arena has planned this inaugural Quadrangular Athletic Championship involving four of the popular boys and girls schools in the country. The championship is expected to attract more than 75 events at different age groups and would be conducted under the guidance of a professional panel of judges from the Ministry of Sports.
