Over 15,000 school Athletes will be seen in Track and Field events at the 88th Ritzbury Sir John Tarbat Athletics Championship 2018, from September 19-21 in Colombo.
The Senior Athletics Meet will be held from September 19-21 in Colombo, under 3 Age Groups- Under (U)-16, U-18 and U-20.
The Junior Athletics Meet will be from October 17-19, at the National Stadium, Anuradhapura and will be conducted under 4 Age Groups- U-12, U-13, U-14 and U-15.
Athletes who qualified from the 3 Regional Meets in Hanwella, Bogambara and Polonnaruwa, will participate in the finals of the Junior Championship.
In addition to extending its support to all Athletes participating in the championship, Ritzbury takes a further step by sponsoring winning Athletes to reach National level.
Based on selections made by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association (SLSAA), 6 of the highest ranking U-16 and U-18 Athletes will receive personal financial support from Ritzbury, to fulfill their potential.
In addition to sponsoring the John Tarbat Championships, Ritzbury has also extended its support towards the Junior National Squash Championship, the Inter-International Schools Athletic Meet and the Vidudaya Ritzbury Inter-School Swimming Championship.
