Sri Lanka claimed a gold, a silver and a bronze medal at the First Leg of the Asian Grand Prix held at Xinhua in Eastern China on Sunday (23).
Sri Lanka won the gold medal through Indunil Herath who clocked 1 minute 50.69 seconds in the Men's 800metre event, who beat Indian Jimson Johnson and Kuwait's Al Safari.
Himasha Eshan clocked 10.43 seconds to win the silver medal as China's Mne Gong, who clocked 10.37 seconds in the Men's 100 metre event.
Gayanthika Abeyratne won a bronze medal in Women's 800 metre event with a timing of 2:03.78 minutes behind China's Wang Chin Yu, who won the gold.
The Second Leg of the Asian Grand Prix 2017 will commence on Thursday (27) in China.
