The inaugural Battle of Friends big match between Christ King College Ja-Ela and Loyola College Bopitiya played at Kadirana ended in a tame draw on Saturday (17).
The second day’s play saw an unbeaten knock of 77 by Shenal Charuka being highlight as Loyala College resuming from their overnight score of 144 for 8 being able to only another two runs to end with a score of 146 runs.
Christ King College having being bundled out for 98 runs in the first inning batting the second time with a deficit of 48 runs was steered by half tons from Jude Roshan and Udan Colombagamage which helped them make a modest score of 239 for 7 declared.
Loyola College set a victory target of 197 runs ended the day on 101 for 6 to force a draw.
