Three Big Match encounters that were scheduled to be played over the weekend in Kandy have been postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing tensed situation in the Hill Capital.
The Organising Committees of the respective encounters met today (7) at their respective schools and have come to a conclusion that the matches should be postponed without any new dates announced.
Accordingly the 101st Battle of the Blues of the Hill Capital between Trinity and St. Anthony's colleges at Asgiriya and the Battle of the Babes bewtween Vidyartha and St. Sylvester's colleges at Pallekele, both originally to be played March 9 and 10, have been postponed without a fixed date in the future.
In addition the Big Match Limited Overs encounter between Sri Sumangala and Rahula colleges scheduled for March 11 at Pallekele too has been postponed indefinitely.
