The 5th Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) Carrom Championships 2018, revived after a year, is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 24 at Galadari Hotel, 'California Grill' rooftop restaurant, commencing 8.00am.
Entries have been calledfrom the 160-strong TTSC Membership and will close on Monday (19), with the Asst. Treasurer Ravi Wisidagama - c/o Green Holiday Centre, 31, WAD Ramanayake Mawatha, Colombo 2.
The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the accepted laws of the Carrom Federation of Sri Lanka.
At the 2016 tournament held on April 30, at the Arena Lounge of the Galadari Hotel, Mt. Lavinia Hotel regained the Men's Championship, beating SriLankan Airlines.
The Women's Singles was won by Niluka Damayanthi of Thurrya Hotel, Kalutara, who beat Shenali Herath from Green Holiday Centre; the women’s doubles was won by Shereen Pietersz (George Steuart Travel), and Ashani Thuduwewatte (The Kingsbury) who beat the Galadari Hotel pair, Nirmalee Clark and Shendrine de Costa.
