The inaugural 'Fox Hill Chess Fiesta', organised and conducted by the Chess Committee of Sri Lanka Army, will begin on Friday (30) at the Sri Lanka Military Training Academy in Diyatalawa.
A total of 34 teams representing Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force, the private sector and universities, will participate in the competition, which ends on Monday (2).
According to the organisers, a team is allowed to field five players, and 16 teams from representing the armed forced, including teams formed by disabled soldiers, will be among the participants.
