The 13th Nelson Mendis International Invitational Under-14 Cricket Tournament contested among coaching schools and academies for the 'Nelson Mendis Challenge Trophy' will begin from Saturday (8).
The tournament will run until April 24 and is planned to be held at 12 venues in and around Colombo.
Defending champions Fingara International Cricket Academy will be among 32 teams that will compete at this year's competition that will run for 17 days.
This year's tournament include four groups of eight teams.
During the group stage, the competition will be played on a league system where each team is slotted to play at least seven matches.
Among the 32 teams five teams from India have confirmed their participation while four local teams are set to make their debuts this time.
