Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has appointed former Sri Lanka allrounder Chaminda Vaas as the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka Emerging Team for the upcoming tour of South Africa.
Vaas' appointment comes in after SLC banned Avishka Gunawardena from all forms of cricket pending inquiry in connection with match fixing.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
