Cricket: Entries called in for SriLankasports.com Inter-Communicate 7s

SriLankasports.com, Sri Lanka’s first sports website is once again making arrangements to launch another path breaking event, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka -the first ever SriLankasports.com intercommunicate 7-a-side softball cricket tournament – “SriLankasports.com Cricket Sevens”, an Inter-Company Soft Ball Cricket Championship to be played under a unique new concept and a mixed format. 

According to the organisers a team will consist of six male and a female player. 

The event will be conducted under the technical guidance of the Mercantile Softball Cricket Association on Sunday March 19 at the Shalika Grounds –Narahenpita with full of event tournament amidst a festive atmosphere as a 'day out' for families with food stalls, musical Bands and DJ music along with attractive prizes for the winners and runners-up 

A total of 40 teams will be afforded entry to the event whilst the closing date for submitting entries is 28th Feb 2017.

The championship is open to Banks, other Financial Institutions, Travel and Hospitality trade with Leasing FMCG brands. 

The tournament hosts, who concluded their annual Netball Challenge – for Mercantile organisations at the St Joseph’s Sports Complex last week for a record 10th successful year has been in the forefront of launching many a sporting event in the Island over the past decade.
