A fully pledged cricket ground will be unveiled tomorrow at the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) HQ at the Dombagoda Cantonment, Horana by Army Commander Lt. Gen. Mahesh Senanayake.
The stadium, which is built on a 10-acre land, will be completed in several stages.
The initial stage had been already completed and will be declared open on Monday (10).
In the second stage, two dressing rooms to accommodate two teams, a cafeteria and four side practice wickets are to be completed.
The third stage will see to the completion of a swimming pool and indoor stadium.
The entire project will take around three years to complete.
Maj. Gen. Bimal Widanage, Commanding Officer SLAOC said: "Our objective is to provide a ground with all training facilities to national level players in the district”.
