Cricket: Heritance Ayurveda win TTSC 6s 2016

Heritance Ayurveda Maha Gedera, Beruwala emerged as the new Men's Winner and Amaya Lake Dambulla emerged as the new Women's winner at the 39th Travel Trade Sports Club Softball Six-a- side Cricket Tournament 2016, sponsored by Aitken Spence Travels, concluded at Shalika grounds. 

Heritance Ayuveda Maha Gedera, an Aitken Spence hotel, beat Amaya Lake Dambulla in the men's final and Amaya Lake, Dambulla beat their sister Hotel and defending Champion, Amaya Hills, Kandy in the womens Final. 

35 Men’s teams and six Women’s teams took part in the tournament, once again sponsored by Aitken Spence Travels. 

Heritance Ayurveda Maha Gedera, Beruwela on their way to the final, beat Walkers Tours, Waters Edge, Hemas Travels, (quarter-frinals) and Hikka Tranz (semi-finals). 

The 2015 winner, Jetwing Sea Negombo lost to Cinnamon Grand Colombo in the quarter-final stage and the 2015 runners-up Camelot Beach Hotel, Negombo, lost to Avani Kalutara in the second round stage.

The Women's final was a repeat of last year; Amaya Hills, Kandy (2015 winner) entered the final beating Luxe Asia and Waters Edge whilst, Amaya Lake Dambulla (2015 runners-up) entered the final, beating new comer, Ceylon Roots and Aitken Spence Travels. 

Special Awards - Men's: 

Best Bowler: Rohitha Attampawela from Amaya Lake , Dambulla

Best Batsman: Sudara Abeygunawardena from Hikka Tranz 

Man of the Final: Akila de Silva from Heritance Ayurveda Maha Gedera 

Man of the Tournament: Amith Sudarshana from Heritance Ayurveda Maha Gedera. 

Special Awards - Women's:

Best Bowler: Ganga Pushpakanthi from Amaya Lake , Dambulla 

Best Batter: Dileema Herath from Amaya Hills, Kandy
 
Woman of the Final and Woman of the Tournament: Dinusha Dissanayake from Amaya Lake, Dambulla
