The Senior Citizens of the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) will get their flannels pressed, boots dusted and their fitness levels into peak condition, to take part in the MCA Annual Over 40 Cricket ‘Sixes’ 2015 on Sunday () at the MCA and D.S. Senanayake College grounds, commencing 8.30am. The following 10 teams have so far have confirmed their participation – HNB (2014 Winner), Union Assurance PLC (2014 Runners-up), Sri Lankan Airlines, John Keells Group, Singer Sri Lanka PLC, Sri Lanka Telecom, NDB Bank, Sampath Bank, Hayleys Group and Airport & Aviation Services. The five Special Awards on offer are for the Best Batsman, Bowler, Most Senior Player, Most Sixes in the tournament and Man of the Final. In 2014 HNB regained the title beating Union Assurance PLC in the final. The tournament is once again sponsored by Ceylon Cold Stores PLC and will be played for the ‘Elephant House Lemonade’ Trophy.
