The Minister of Sports, Faiszer Musthapha has appointed three working committees to run cricket until Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) holds its Annual General Meeting.
Accordingly a Cricket Advisory Committee, a Tournament Committee and an Umpires Committee have been appointed with 17 members in total named in them.
The Cricket Advisory Committee includes seven members while the other two committees include five members each.
Cricket Advisory Committee: Michael de Soyza (Sinhalese Sports Club), Ken de Alwis (Sinhalese Sports Club), Chandika Hathurusingha (Sri Lanka Head Coach), Asanka Gurusinha (Chief Cricket Operations Officer, SLC), Graeme Labrooy (Chairman, National Selection Committee), Ashley de Silva (CEO, SLC), Jerome Jayaratne (COO, SLC)
Tournament Committee: Samantha Dodanwela (Sinhalese Sports Club), Shane Fernando (Colts Cricket Club), Parthalingam (Tamil Union), Refai Ariff (Moors Cricket Club),
Mahinda Halangode (Sinhalese Sports Club)
Umpires Committee: K.H. Nandasena (BRC), Brigadier Shiran Abeysekera (Army Sports Club), Janaka Kaluhendiwela (Bloomfield), Priyantha Algama (Saracens CC), A.R.M. Aroos (Chilaw Marians)

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has interdicted Colombo Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera.
The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
