Minister of Tourism and Sports, Navin Dissanayake appointed a Board of Inquiry comprising three Attorneys-at-Law -- Ravi Algama, Jaliya Bodinagoda and Varuna Mallawaarachchi to probe investigate inquire and report on any corruption, abuse of power and authority by any office bearer, office bearers or members of the committee of former Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). This was confirmed by an official media communiqué released by the Ministry of Sports on Tuesday (26). “The Board of Inquiry commenced its sitting on Tuesday (26) at the Sri Lanka Cricket Headquarters and are expected to conduct it inquiries expeditiously and submit the report to the Minister at the earliest,” the statement said. The sittings of the Board of Inquiry will be held at the National Olympic Committee at Torrignton in Colombo.
