Opening batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama has been named into the Sri Lanka ODI and Twenty20 squad in the ongoing away series against New Zealand, according to Sri Lanka Cricket.
Samarawickrama will join the Sri Lanka squad in New Zealand for the remainder of the tour, after the visitors lost the Test series 0-1.
"The national selectors decided to include Sadeera Samarawickrama into the ODI and T20 squad currently touring New Zealand. He was drafted into the squad in place of injured Angelo Mathews," SLC stated issuing a media release today (2).
