Kamal Deshapriya who was appointed channel head of Sri Lanka Cricket has tendered his resignation just few months into his appointment.
A popular TV personality Deshapriya has cited personal reasons for his resignation but SLC sources said that he was leaving due to a dispute with regard to match telecasting rights.
Deshapriya was hired to set up SLC’s own telecasting arm.
"He did resign," said Ashley de Silva, CEO Sri Lanka Cricket.
"He has cited personal reasons for leaving."
