The scorers of Sri Lanka Cricket will celebrate their 15th year anniversary at the Sasakawa Hall on Colombo 3 on September 30 evening.
The awards ceremony, which the organisers plan to have on a grand scale, will be similar to ceremonies that are hosted by the ICC and Sri Lanka Cricket according to an official of Sri Lanka Cricket Scorers.
"The awards night will be a unique event in for cricket scorers in Sri Lanka. This will be the first time an event of this nature is taking place, where the role of a cricket scorer will be recognized," an official stated.
Among the awards to be presented are for the Most Senior Scorer, Most Popular Scorer, Best Scorer, Most Popular Ground Boy and Most Popular Scoreboard.
Bandula Warnapura, Sri Lanka's first Test captain, will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
