Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) named 20-member preliminary squad for the upcoming Nidahas Trophy Twenty20 Tri-Nation Series which begins next Tuesday (6) at the R. Premadasa ICS in Colombo.
Dinesh Chandimal has been named as the skipper while the National Selectors have not considered Angelo Mathews into the squad.
"Angelo Mathews was not considered for selection, as he is still recovering from the injury, he suffered during the concluded Tri-Nation Series in Bangladesh," an SLC statement said.
The squad will be pruned down to 15 players on Wednesday (28).
