Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), won the SLC Major Emerging League Cricket Championship, after recording a first innings points win in a drawn final against Colts in the final played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The two-day final was dominated by SSC, led by Charith Asalanka, as they declared the first innings after reaching 385/8 electing to bat.
Asalanka top scored with an enterprising knock of 115 while Sandun Weerakkody (84) and Kavindu Kulasekara (67).
Colts replied with 197 while SSC were 103/2 when play ended.
