Mahela Udawatte and Niroshan Dickwella batted superbly and guided Kandy to an easy 28-run win against Galle in the SLC Super 4 Provincial Limited Overs Tournament played at the P. Sara Oval.
The match was reduced to 36 overs per-side after rain caused a delay and Galle were skittled out for 250 runs in 35.4 overs.
Sammu Ashan top scored with 72 runs followed by a knock of 55 from Roshen Silva.
Speedster Isuru Udana picked five wickets.
In reply, Kandy openers Niroshan Dickwella and Mahela Udawatte made a solid start with a stand of 137 runs while hitting 75 runs and 116 runs respectively.
Udawatte scored his 116 off 96 deliveries inclusive of 14 fours and two sixes.
