Sri Lankan swimmers Cherantha de Silva and Akalanka Peiris finished at sixth and seventh positions respectively in the Men's 50m Butterfly Stroke event at the Commonwealth Games today (5).
De Silva, competing in Lane 5, clocked 23.13seconds while Peiris followed at seventh clocking 25.32seconds in Lane 1.
Trinidad and Tobago's Dylan Carter placed first followed by Australian Grant Irvine and Daniel Hunter of New Zealand in Heat No.6 of the event.
