Sri Lanka shuttler Dinuka Karunaratne beat Georges Paul of The Mauritius in straight sets 2-0 in the Badminton Men's Singles Round of 16 match at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (12).
Dinuka had to battle hard to claim the win with set scores of 23-21 and 22-20 in a game that stretched up to nearly 40 minutes.
He will meet India's H.S. Prannoy in the Singles Quarterfinals on Friday at 2.30pm Sri Lanka time.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake is so far leading by securing (52.5%) while Sajith Premadasa secured (21.5 % ) and Ranil Wickremesinghe (19.2%) trailing behind. Meanwhile, independent candidate Ariyanethirnan Pakkiyaselvam secured the Nallur Electorate.
