Sri Lanka swimmer Matthew Abeysinghe finished fourth in the Men's 100m Freestyle Swimming Semi-final 1 but failed to reach the final at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (7).
Matthew contested in Lane 3 and finished with a timing of 49.43seconds to finish at fourth, but was ranked 10th overall in the lineup for the final, which is scheduled for Sunday (8).
Canadian Markus Thormeyer and Matthew Abeysinghe are lined up as reserves for the final but are highly unlikely of contesting.
