Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) named the One Day International (ODI) squad for the upcoming England's tour of Sri Lanka, but without the former skipper Angelo Mathews, fast bowler Suranga Lakmal and top order batsman Kusal Mendis.
Opener Sadeera Samarawickrama has earned a recall to the ODI side along with speedster Nuwan Pradeep, who was sidelined due to an injury.
Kusal Mendis, however, has been named as one of the five stand by players, alongside Suranga Lakmal, Dimuth Karunaratne, Shehan Madushanka and Jeffrey Vandersay.
Sri Lanka will play five ODIs against England from October 10 to 23 at Dambulla, Pallakele and Colombo, before the one-off Twenty20 International on October 27.
