England to play Sri Lanka in two test matches next year

England will arrive in Sri Lanka for a two-match test series in Sri Lanka on March 3, 2020, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced today (Oct 25).

The matches are scheduled to be played between March 19 - 31, 2020 under the ICC World Test Championship.

England are currently ranked third in the championship points table while Sri Lanka is ranked sixth.

The scheduled fixtures are as follows :

Practice match : March 7 to 9 - England vs SLC Board President’s XI at MCG, Katunayake
Practice match : March 12 to 15 - England vs SLC Board President’s XI at P. Sara Oval, Colombo
Match 1 : March 19 to 23 at Galle International Cricket Stadium
Match 2 : March 27 to 31 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
