Amana Takaful ‘B’ beat LB Finance by 5-4 on penalties to win the Mercantile Fustal Championship played at the Futsal World Indoor Stadium, Darley Road on Sunday (4).
After a close battle both sides scored four goals each at the final whistle of the Cup final and had to go for a penalty shootout to determine the winner.
Sri Lanka player Mohamed Rifnas scored a hat-trick and Fasool Rahman scored a goal for Amana Takaful ‘B’ while for the losers Mohamed Hakeem, Faizer, Safras and Yogaraja scored a goal each.
John Keells finished at third place overall after overcoming Amana Takaful ‘A’ by 4-2.
Sanjula Thiku and Darall Alvaran scored two goals each for John Keells while M.M. Suhail and Mohamed Irshard scored a goal each for Amana 'A'.
In the semi-finals LB Finance beat John Keells 3-0 while Amana Takaful ‘B’ beat their ‘A’ team by 8-3.
The tournament, organised by Mercantile Services Football Association, attracted 24 teams from the mercantile sector.
