Army Sports Club and Saunders Sports Club won their semi-final matches played at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, to qualify for the final of the Vantage FA Cup Championship 2018.
Army beat Police by 1-0 while Saunders overcame favourites Colombo FC by 2-0 to earn a spot in the all important final.
Army's solitary goal was scored by striker Danusha Perera in the 28th minute while Police could not penetrate the defence of the eventual winners.
After a scoreless first half and an intense first quarter of the second half, Saunders surprised tournament favourites Colombo FC by scoring late twice.
S. Niresh scored the first goal in the 71st minute followed by a late goal by veteran Kasun Jayasuriya, who scored in the 93rd minute.
