Attorney at Law and former President of the Sri Lanka Football Federation Thilina Panditharathne was re elected as President of the Galle District Football League for the years 2017 / 2018 at its annual general meeting held at the Galle Football House.
Col Malcolm Wickremasinghe was elected Secretary while Shirantha Kumara was elected Treasurer.
The Galle District Football League is made up with fourteen clubs namely Galle Youth SC, Galle United SC, Rantharu SC, Sandares SC, Navinna United SC, Flying Arrows SC, Red Robins SC, Havelock SC, Gamini SC, Dilena Tharu SC, Kurunduwatta SC, Red Lions SC, Seven Flowers SC and Nugaduwa SC from the Galle, Ratgama, Baddegama, Akmeemana, Habaraduwa and Hiniduma electoral areas.
