The Division One Women’s Football Championship will commence on February 7.
This has been decided upon by the Sri Lanka Football Federation. Four teams are figuring in the competition.
They are Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Police.
On February 7 there are two matches.
The first match will be Sri Lanka Army vs Sri Lanka Navy at the Welisara Navy grounds.
The next match will be between Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Police at the Air Force ground Ekala on the same day.
The competition which is being conducted on a league basis will go on until March 14.
The Women’s Division Two contest is now over with Polgahawela SC having won the competition defeating Kotte SC 3-0 in the final.
