Young Lankans golfers are in lucks way as DFCC Bank has recently agreed to take up the Joint Title Sponsorship of the 2017 Inter School Golf Tournament, conducted by the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC).
The MoU for sponsorship was recently signed between the DFCC Bank and the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
The 2017 Inter School Golf Tournament will be held on December 16 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club for the fourth consecutive year.
The tournament, which is being organised under a ‘Big Match’ theme will feature over 250 golfers from over 25 top schools in the island, including 5 Girls schools.
This year, the event is being organized by the Dons, the golfing old boys of D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo.
“The RCGC inter-school golf tournament is one of the premier golfing events in Sri Lanka, and DFCC Bank is proud to be sponsoring this event,” says Lakshman Silva, CEO of DFCC Bank.
“We’re sure that a large number of golfers including business leaders in the corporate arena will definitely bring in a competitive spirit and sportsmanship to thismost popular and anticipated tournament of all events that take place in the golfing calendar. We also hope that the event will promote golf to a wider audience andbuild awareness to take golf to the school levels both in and outside of Colombo.”
