Amarapadma returned the best score for day three, Gross 68, four under par in terrific conditions to salvage a slender 2 stroke lead from B.A. Sanjeewa whose even par 72 enabled him to hold on to second place one stroke ahead of M.U. Chanaka Perera and overnight leader J.M.D. Indika tied in joint third place, on 212.
T. Jayaseelan fired another 69 with local knowledge to share joint fifth place with Sisira Kumara, a leading Lectra Grand-Prix contender, on 213 Gross, total one under par just 4 stroke off the lead.
The top five amateurs are sure to make every effort to snatch the winners’ prize and it all comes down to the wire with everything to play for in the final round of the May Edition of the Lectra Grand-Prix 2019, hosted at the Catalina Golf Club in Koggala.
