With an overall tally of 38 points Rohan Fernandez won the traditional HSBC 5-Club Stableford Golf Tournament concluded last weekend at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC). Fernandez, competing in the Men’s B Division won the main challenge trophy on offer while Irene Scarth won the Ladies Division. Christopher Dias won the Senior category. Organised by the RCGC and sponsored by HSBC for the 12th year, the tournament was open to all members of the RCGC with a valid handicap. The tournament which ran over two days saw an overwhelming response and was oversubscribed once again and saw over 200 golfers participating in the Men’s A, B and C Divisions, Ladies and Senior categories. After the success of the HSBC 5-Club Stableford Tournament, HSBC will also hold its annual Premier Golf Tournament, exclusively for Premier customers at the picturesque Victoria Golf Club in Kandy on September 12. Two winners will have the opportunity to witness the WGC HSBC Champions Golf tournament starting November 2.
