The annual HSBC Premier Golf Tournament will Tee off at the picturesque Nuwara Eliya Golf Club on Friday (9).
The tournament is being held for the fourth successive year and as customary will hold a pre-event challenge, where golfers will have the exciting task of facing ‘The Ultimate Bunker Challenge’ played under lights at 6.00pm on Friday.
This year’s tournament is expected to rally a large number of golf enthusiasts to compete for the HSBC Premier Challenge Trophy and a chance to witness the HSBC WGC Champions Golf Tournament, scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China from 25 to 31 October 2016.
The tournament will be followed by an awards ceremony to be held on Saturday (10).
Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been summoned by the Bribery Commission following a statement he made supporting MP Chamara Sampath Dissanayake who is in custody.
