The All-Island Schools Hockey Championship 2015 for boys and girls Under-17 conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association (SLSHA) together with the Matale Schools Hockey Committee, will get underway at Matale from June 25 to 28. The venues for the four-day tournament will be Bernard Aluvihare Stadium and Edwards Park in Matale. According to the secretary of SLSHA, Shiromantha Wijesinghe, 40 boys and 38 girls teams representing hockey-playing schools in Colombo, Kandy, Matake, Kegalle, Gampaha, Wennappuwa, Kalutara, Galle, Badulla and Jaffna are expected to participate. Last year D.S. Senanayake College Colombo emerged boys champions while Seetha Devi Girls School Kandy annexed the girls title.
