Sri Lanka officially named its 15-man squad finalised for the ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup under the captaincy of Angelo Mathews.
Sri Lanka has retained the services of Lasith Malinga, who stepped down as the skipper of Sri Lanka Twenty20 on Monday citing a knee injury.
In addition wicketkeeper/opener Niroshan Dickwella and spinner Jeffrey Vandersay have been dropped from the amended squad.
Their places have been given to batsman Lahiru Thirimanne and speedster Suranga Lakmal.
The changes were made by the new selection committee under Aravinda de Silva.
The Sri Lanka Twenty20 left for India during the early hours of Tuesday (8) to take part in the ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Championship 2016.
