India won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the first Test which will begin shortly at the Galle International Stadium today (26).
One each player from both teams are set to make their Test debuts -- Hardik Pandya for India and opener Danushka Gunathilaka for Sri Lanka.
Rangana Herath will lead Sri Lanka in absence of Dinesh Chandimal, who has been ruled out due to an illness.
A slight drizzle came down soon after the toss but play will begin as schedule.
