Sri Lankan fans celebrated the birthday of New Zealand national cricket skipper Kane Williamson by inviting him to cut a cake during a practice match today (Aug 8).
Local fans who were witnessing a game between the Kiwis and Sri Lanka Cricket President’s XI, invited the touring skipper to come to the boundary line and celebrate the occasion during a match break.
Williamson, 29, had won the hearts of many cricketing fans since the recently concluded world cup final for maintaining a calm composure despite ending up as runners-up of the world tournament.
To date, the New Zealand skipper has 72 Tests, 149 One Day International’s, and 57 T-20 Internationals throughout his cricketing career spanning around nine years.
