Lasith Malinga will captain Sri Lanka in its T20 International series against New Zealand, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said today (Aug 24), announcing its 15-member squad for the tour.
The hosts will take on the touring Kiwis in three T20I's which would be played at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy between September 1 and 6.
The squad is as follows : Lasith Malinga – Captain, Niroshan Dickwella – Vice Captain, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Janith Perera, Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Mendis, Shehan Jayasuriya, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Akila Dananjaya, Lakshan Sandakan, Isuru Udana, Kasun Rajitha, Lahiru Kumara, Lahiru Madushanka
According to the SLC, the three-match series would be played in the following manner :
